A crown of joy instead of mourning,

This piece, "Rebirth" is easily one of the most inspiring pieces I have worked on! It’s just as dear to me as it is to you… and now even as I write this letter to you,  I can’t help but be emotional as I remember moments when I too was faced with the seemingly impossible task of my own rebirth. The most striking part of "Rebirth", the Golden Gele Turban, is an ode to the strength that lies in feminity. It's also a physical representation of a bible quote that kept recurring in my mind as I created this piece - that God will crown all your efforts with success. A crown of joy instead of mourning. The streak of seven red corks represents the pain of the many sacrifices that are now behind you, in the past. It also means that those sacrifices which once brought you pain will now be the same things that keep you grounded and unshakeable. The reward for your sacrifices will be unconditional support from your friends, and your family. Your love for your girls, your propeller, is the most important part of your rebirth, never forget. To finish this project, I let the piece bask in the golden morning sun, absorbing all the rays of a brand new day, full of optimistic beginnings.
